Are you a dedicated Pelvic Health Physiotherapist looking to make a difference in a leading organisation?
Our client are seeking an experienced and passionate Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to join their dynamic team in South West London.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Professional Accountability: Maintain full professional and legal accountability for all aspects of your practice in line with CSP and HCPC standards, ensuring high-quality service delivery within the private practice setting.
- Case Management: Independently manage a complex and specialist caseload of pelvic health patients, ensuring efficient prioritisation and time management.
- Advanced Clinical Skills: Use advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to assess and treat patients with complex pelvic health issues, applying a biopsychosocial model.
- Collaborative Treatment Plans: Regularly assess, evaluate, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, ensuring patient-centred care and long-term outcomes.
- Behavioural and Lifestyle Interventions: Implement cognitive-behavioural techniques and behaviour change strategies to empower patients to self-manage chronic pelvic conditions, focusing on functional improvements.
- Education and Communication: Provide detailed, clear explanations of complex pelvic health issues and treatments to patients and their families, ensuring understanding and promoting long-term management.
Policy and Service Development:
- Quality Improvement: Participate in regular service audits, research projects, and evidence-based practice initiatives, continually enhancing service quality.
- Clinical Governance: Ensure adherence to clinical governance frameworks and participate in risk management to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ensure an inclusive approach to patient care, recognising and respecting cultural and individual differences.
Leadership and Management Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Act as a lead practitioner within the pelvic health physiotherapy team, offering clinical expertise and supervision to junior staff members.
- Staff Development: Support the professional development of junior staff through mentoring, supervision, and appraisal processes.
- Operational Management: Assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the pelvic health physiotherapy service, ensuring high-quality care for all patients.
Qualifications and skills:
- HCPC registered.
- BSc in Physiotherapy.
- Membership of special interest groups (POGP)
- Postgraduate training or development in management and leadership skills.
- Expert clinical reasoning skills in the appropriate application of a range of techniques and approaches to the management of the relevant clinical area.
- Specialist knowledge and application of best evidence-based practice in the Pelvic Health field and application of therapy assessment and interventions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and flexibly, and to adapt communication style to the needs of patients and staff.
